Serie A: Cristiano Ronaldo reveals what Juventus ‘need’ after 2-1 loss to Verona

Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has said that Maurizio Sarri’s side ‘need’ to keep working hard in order to achieve their aim this season.

Ronaldo said this while reacting to Juventus’ 2-1 defeat to Hellas Verona in the Serie A encounter on Saturday night.

The former Real Madrid star opened the scoring for Juventus in the 65th minute against Verona.

Fabio Borini equalized with a fine finish, before Giampaolo Pazzini struck the winner from the penalty spot for the host.

Juventus’ defeat against Verona means one point will separate the top three on Serie A table, if both Inter Milan and Lazio win their matches on Sunday.

Ronaldo, in a post on his official Instagram page, said the result against Verona was not what Juventus wanted.

The 35-year-old wrote: “It wasn’t the result we wanted but we need to keep working hard to achieve our goals. #finoallafine.”

Ronaldo will now hope to lead Juventus to victory when they take on Brescia on February 16 in their next Serie A fixture.
